Below are some very important details regarding our group booking details. Please make sure to read through this page carefully before booking your reservation.
DISCOUNTED ROOM BLOCK
Siri and Paul have secured discounted group rates for guests of their wedding! Reservations MUST be made on this site through Shaadi Destinations to attend wedding events; reservations made directly with the resort, via online travel agencies such as Expedia or Hotels.com, or via a travel agency will not receive any group perks, and discounted group pricing, nor will guests be allowed to enter wedding events.
While there is a 3 night minimum, most guests choose to add nights at the discounted rate before and after the wedding in order to enjoy the incredible resort with friends and family. Please feel free to take advantage of this rate from Tuesday, December 10, 2024-Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
Please make your reservation by September 1, 2024 so we can plan for your attendance of events.
AN INCREDIBLE RESORT WITH STUNNING SUITES
All of AVA's suites and villas are inspired by the sunlit white sand and translucent blues of the Mexican Caribbean, with floor-to-ceiling windows, incredible ocean views, spacious private terraces, and a menu of in-room amenities.

Oceanfront Room - Our signature oceanfront King plus sofabed or 2 Queens, spa-inspired bath, workspace, and private terrace with two-person spa tub. Designed to bring nature in, with abundant natural light, soft breezes of the Caribbean, and the luxury of total comfort, inside and out.

F&F Sundeck Suite - Ocean front view for friends, family, and friends who are family. Our spacious oceanfront suites feature a master bedroom, TV room with a daybed that sleeps two children, and a living area with a sofa. The suite opens onto an expansive sundeck and outdoor living room, with sun-tanning beds. All overlooking our naturally sparkling Ava Bay with Crystal Lagoon® technology and azure Caribbean Sea, with a 6-person spa tub for soaking it all in, and sharing time together.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is optional but recommended. Shaadi Destinations currently offers a Cancel Anytime insurance product that will be made available for purchase within 14 days of the date you are charged for your room. The Cancel Anytime plan allows for 100% refunds of the non-refundable amount for cancellations due to covered reasons or 80% refunds of the non-refundable amount for cancellations due to most other reasons (for example - no longer wanting to travel). The link and instructions to purchase this plan will be provided by email along with your invoice during the charge window. Terms and conditions are subject to change by the insurance company until the plan is purchased.
PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Payment for your requested booking will be charged in full between 9/1/2024-10/1/2024
Cancellations on or after 10/3/2024 will be charged 50% of the room total
Cancellations on or after 11/1/2024 will be fully non-refundable

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the visa and/or passport requirements for Mexico?
Travel to Mexico requires valid passports, even for US Citizens. Please ensure that your passport expires after 6 months from the date of entry into Mexico. Mexico has no visa requirement for US, Canada, UK, and Australian Citizens, but you will be asked to fill out a FMM form (Mexico's visitor permit) on the plane or once you land. Once you get to immigration and customs at Cancún airport, the agents will give you the bottom half to retain until you leave the country. It is VERY important to keep this secure until you leave Mexico.
Indian Citizens will need to obtain a tourist visa unless they have a valid US Visa or are permanent residents of Canada, UK, or Japan. Please verify requirements before travel, you can find specific requirements here.
If in doubt, please get in touch with your local Mexican embassy.
Is there transportation available between the airport and the resort?
Siri and Paul are kindly providing roundtrip shared airport transfers. Please submit your flight information no later than 1 month prior to arrival into Cancun International Airport (CUN).
What time is check-in and check-out at AVA Cancun?
Check-in time is at 3pm and check-out time is at 12pm. Reservations made through Shaadi Destinations will be given priority on early check-in times as we will make requests directly with resort management. Early check-in is not guaranteed, but the resort will do their best.
Guests are welcome to stay on property all day the day of check-in and check-out. Bags will be stored with your butler staff when you don't have access to your room.
Can I stay for just 2 nights?
While most destination wedding guests choose to stay 5-6 nights when flying to Mexico, we understand there may be certain limiting factors. Unfortunately, group discounts are only valid on a minimum of 3 night stays. If you must stay 2 nights, please contact us at hello@shaadidestinations.com so we can find the best rates possible for you. Booking through Shaadi Destinations allows for certain group benefits to be conveyed and allows for the best rate possible.
Are kids welcome?
We chose AVA Cancun because of the endless list of activities that will turn us all to children - so children are encouraged!
AVA KIDS - A dedicated club for endless exploration and fun— the wonder of nature, arts & crafts, marine life discovery, trampolines, inside slides, our one-of-a-kind AVA Lagoon by Crystal Lagoon Technology, an incredible water park, and more—with all experiences curated by age group. For our youngest guests, we host a toddler and parent play area, as well as a suite of nanny services should you prefer your playtime at the infinity pool. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
THE LOUNGE - Ages 13-17 only, aka, no kids, no parents—with basketball, ping pong, bowling, AR gaming, an indoor pool, snack bar, and more. A space to recharge, meet up or just get away for a while.
What changes can I expect to the resorts offering once it opens?
With any new resort, we do expect changes before and during the first few months of occupancy - for example, occupancy allowance changes or times restaurants are open. We are so excited for this beautiful brand new resort to open and that you will get to experience it!
