The beginning
Krishan and I met when my friend invited me out to drinks with her then boyfriend. He was bringing a friend so she wanted to bring a friend as well. We had drinks and right when we left she asked “So what did you think of Krishan?”. I should have known, I had just been setup! My friend kept on orchestrating events so Krishan and I would hangout. I really didn't want to lead Krishan because I had no time to date. So I had to be honest with him and tell him that I just wanted to be friends. To my surprise he just said we could just take it one day at a time and see where things lead us. Hey , Krishan here! Spoiler alert!!! She wasn't able to resist my charm.
The proposal
When it comes to the ring I wanted Megha to have the ring she has always dreamt of. So a year before I proposed, I took her ring shopping. Megha really thought I was going to propose on our trip to Hawaii but I really wanted our families to be part of the proposal. Megha’s brother in law had gotten a new camera and Megha is a blogger so she was ready to get some good pictures. We headed to Hermann Park in Houston and I had the perfect spot. Couldn't have her suspect anything so I made her think it was her idea to go there. I had our families hold balloons that spelled out MARRY ME. She didn't even notice them come out lol. May 4, 2018 was the day she made me a happy man for the second time.
Let's start planning
We started planning our wedding 10 months after our engagement. Why so late? We just really enjoyed being engaged. Destination wedding was not part of our plan. After realizing that our guest list was over six hundred people, we had to come up with something else. We went towards a destination wedding because we wanted something small and intimate.
You are fired!
One of the main things we were focused on was for our wedding to be affordable for our guests. We hired a destination wedding coordinator and we could just tell he was pushing on to us the resorts that paid him the most money. He was just not a fit for us and we realized that after the fourth call with him. We fired him and that is when we reached out to Shaadi Destinations. Talking to Shaadi Destinations was just so amazing. They are just so honest and transparent. Milan was always honest of what he liked and didn't like about all the resorts we talked about. Our wedding vision and goals were always a priority and Milan made them his priorities as well.

We all need some help sometimes so here are some tips that really helped us plan our destination wedding.
Stay organized with everything!! Anything that has to do with your wedding like emails, contracts, ect. Keep it organized or you will lose it.
If you get stressed just take a break and go on a date. Do anything that takes your mind off all the planning. You want this process to be fun and exciting!
Make a pinterest board for each thing in your wedding. So that way you are able to show your wedding planner exactly what you want. Make a folder on Pintrest of everything that catches your eye.

We did not go on a honeymoon but we are going to Italy for our one year anniversary!
