You are my destiny
Chirag and I first met at a wedding in June 2014. A week later he was the first to wish me a happy birthday and our first date was soon after. We dated a short period and unfortunately life ended up taking us on different paths. However our friendship was the foundation that remained strong. Four years later we decided to give each other another shot. To my surprise time was exactly what was needed for us to realize that we were meant for each other. Things were way too good to be a coincidence, that was the moment we became believers of destiny.
The proposal
Chirag mentioned he had a work conference in Miami at the end of March 2019. Being a huge Miami and fun in the sun lover I decided it would be a great idea to invite myself. Why not make it a fun weekend trip? To my surprise Chirag had secretly planned the most beautiful and memorial proposal! On April 4,2019, he said we were heading to a “pre- conference” yacht party on Biscayne bay. We met up at the rendezvous point at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. The moment Chirag got on one knee I instinctively called him a liar for tricking me, but I quickly and happily followed up with a “YAY!”. Chirag took that as his yes!
Let’s plan a wedding!
When it came to wedding planning Chirag and I had the same two wishes. We both wanted a destination wedding to make a vacation out of a celebration for ourselves and our guests. We were also aiming for the most stress free route that didn’t require a full year of planning ( if that was even possible!).
Having a “get it done” attitude, we were quick to schedule a call with Shaadi Destinations. They were super helpful with helping finalize both a wedding date and venue within a week of our initial conversation. Experts in destination weddings... FACT!! Generations Riviera Maya was our choice of resort because of its beauty and the fact that they had an Indian restaurant with Indian chef on site to cater to our guests.

We want everyone that's looking into having a destination wedding to remember to relax and try your best to enjoy the processes.
Tip One - Make sure to do an onsite visit to see your venue in person, meet with each vendor, complete mehndi, hair, makeup trials and food tasting.
Tip Two - Create an inspiration board that includes decorations, outfits, makeup, hair inspirations, ect.
Tip Three- Remember to take it easy and try to enjoy the process. Things will never go 100% according to plan and you will never be able to fully please everyone. Remember to smile, be appreciative and focus on the real reason you're getting married!
Shout out time!!
We want to give a shout out to all our family and friends that spent a lot of time planning and rehearsing amazing surprise choreographies and thoughtful speeches. Those were memories that filled us with true joy and we will cherish forever.
When it comes to travel/hotel Shaadi Destinations helped remove the stress for both us and the guest. Maricarmen ( wedding coordinator ) was our Rock for those 3 months! She ensured everything went as perfect as possible by putting together a detailed timeline.
The passion that Federico Salmeron (photographer) and Agave Photo Studio (videograper) had to get the perfect shot made us so happy.
Alex Corbanezi (hair stylist) did not just manage to deliver a brilliant hairstyle for me but also for the groom. Natural was my goal when it came to makeup and Susy Benavides (makeup) made sure to make it happen.
DJ Volcanik (DJ/MC) was not just great to work with but also offered great song selection. Delivering a dance floor full of fun and energy! Drums in Paradise (Dhol/Entertainment) put on an interactive glow stick and water show that was loved by everyone!
