What inspired you to start shooting weddings?
We are passionate about witnessing a unique, unrepeatable moment between two souls full of love who express the desire to make one another happy for the rest of their lives. This passion made us create this specialized Indian Weddings division supported on our companies with more than 20 years of experience, Mike Cantarell Films in cinematography and Mexican Wedding Photos in professional photography, that allow us to capture those priceless moments, provide a memorable experience and give our clients a memory for a lifetime... just as they dreamed it.

How did you get started on this journey?
Mike Cantarell, our Founder and Director, recorded his first event at the age of 16 with a friend using a VCR that his father had while giving professional training courses for companies. A few years later, he studied Communications with a specialization in Television and Publicity at Anahuac University, one of the best universities in Mexico in 1993. He then moved to Cancun and created a business specializing in film, advertising, and social events.
One day he received a call from a wedding planner to record a wedding. Something wonderful began to happen and that's where destination weddings began!
What are the services you offer for Indian destination weddings?
Our Studio is full of Professionals in love with Indian Weddings with all the decorations, colors, music, dance, rituals, costumes and emotions. These weddings are any videographer and photographer’s dream and the perfect occasion to transform experience and technical knowledge into art to tell a story. We just love to do that for our clients.

In three words I would say: journalistic, colorful, and creative. Given one sentence, I would say: we are storytellers that capture wonderful details, emotions, and magic in every shoot
What makes an Indian wedding so unique to shoot for you?
Indian weddings are very special for us because it’s like magic happening, the attention to the details is impressive and they’re just so colorful! So many colors and expressions that when you see the videos you really feel you’re there again.

What should couples think about when hiring their wedding videographer?
It is very important to consider the price-quality ratio. This unique moment deserves to be captured by trained professionals with knowledge and understanding about Indian Wedding’ ceremonies and rituals. Using the best equipment with the highest standard and a fabulous style that suits clients vision to be able to produce photos and video. Which are more than just photos and videos but are timeless memories that will be treasured forever.

What is your favorite moment you like to capture at each Indian wedding?
The entire team vividly remembers a beautiful moment of Pithi and Haldi we captured while washing in the sea. The day was beautiful, the water was crystal clear and they began to laugh and throw water at each other allowing us to get an incredible video and lots of fun and colorful photos.
Our team has made hundreds of South Asian weddings of various religions and regions. So we fully understand the culture and the sentimental moments that occur during the rituals and ceremonies of a traditional wedding. Although we believe that everything is special and wonderful, we especially like to capture the Baraat.
