We are Ruiz Films, a wedding cinematography company. Our service is wedding filmmaking exclusively under several branches of it but always related to video format. With us you’ll find more than simple and traditional wedding videos, we aim to create cinematic wedding films. What inspired you to start shooting weddings?
Working with couples is something we love, their stories are unique and so diverse, we like very much to listen to those stories and discover new ways of love! That led us to work with couples and specialized ourselves in weddings.
Ruiz Films always brings their drones when they travel! Our clients as a result end up with stunning cinematography and extra drone shots to cherish as memories!
What are the services you offer for Indian destination weddings?
We offer different packages which vary in the movie length, film formats delivered (Like shortfilm, next day edit, highlights, trailer, full movie...), time of coverage, and other factors. For Indian weddings exclusively we offer a wedding video adapted to Bollywood style, a peculiar style that distinguishes our productions from others, we also have products like the “Same Day Edit”, very popular among Indian weddings because it can be projected at the last day reception.
Many people tend to ask us if we offer wedding photography as well, but we believe that a company that offers just one type of service will provide higher quality results than a company that offers several types of services, and this for a simple reason: all the staff can focus on the same thing
Tell us something about your personal life that clients wouldn't find out from your Instagram page or wedding albums?
I have a lovely and beautiful wife, a playful daughter and a wonderful boy! I’m a film buff since forever, I really love it, it’s my passion! And I really enjoy working with the Crew to create every single story for every couple we work with, their happiness, words of thanks and the smile in their faces totally worth it.

What differentiates your work from others? What makes it special?
We always insist on the difference between wedding videography and wedding cinematography, and we do the 2nd thing… The speech can be very long and technical, and we don’t want to get you bored with that; what makes our wedding films special is that we put our hearts into our work. At the time of filming we put attention to every detail, big or small, we’re always thinking on the poetic side of the video and how we're going to tell your story through it. At the time of editing we take the time to choose the best shots, music, and effects to put all that together. You can check it yourself on our portfolio… The secret is… WE LOVE OUR JOB! What makes an Indian wedding so unique to shoot for you?
Indian weddings are very special for us because it’s like magic happening, the attention to the details is impressive and they’re just so colorful! So many colors and expressions that when you see the videos you really feel you’re there again.

What is the best shooting experience you've had at a wedding? What made it special?
Once we shot a wedding with a lovely couple that became our friends. Both of them treated us like their guests and despite the fact that we were working we enjoyed it in a special way. Once we finished the filming they asked us to stay and enjoy the rest of the evening with them. It is wonderful to reach that kind of connection with our clients!
What should couples think about when hiring their wedding videographer?
There’re a lot of things to think about, but we think the most important one is to feel comfortable with the ones you’ll be hiring, because even if someone does a really good job but you’re not feeling completely comfortable with them it doesn’t worth it. They’ll be part of the biggest day of a couples life and the couple should be enjoying their wedding day and not thinking about who’s doing the video or taking the photos. Hire who you trust and feel comfortable with because you know they’ll do an excellent job and the only thing you could expect is something extraordinary!
What piece of advice would you give brides and grooms to ensure that they get wedding photos they love forever?
In addition to the above described, ensure to check the wedding video portfolio of the videographers you’re taking into consideration and be sure to have a clear idea of what you want as a final result. Some filmmakers like us (Ruiz Films) do unique productions for each couple, having in mind all the couple’s preferences.
What is the most unique photo you have ever taken?
All the videos we do are unique and special. I think that all the weddings we have attended have let something beautiful to remember
What is your favorite moment you like to capture?
The first dance of a couple at their wedding is a unique moment, it transmits so much emotion and reminds me of my wife and the song we danced at our wedding.

How far in advance do couples need to secure their date to make sure you are available?
We always recommend couples to book us with as much time in advance as they can. The majority of the couples book us within 1 or 2 years before the wedding date, to assure the full-day coverage and to take special offers available at the time of booking. The estimated time previously mentioned is just that, an estimate. Before actually booking us please make sure you feel absolutely comfortable with us filming your wedding. How long does it take until the couple gets their full wedding film?
The delivery time takes from 4 to 6 months after the wedding. The reason for this is because all the films are edited considering special factors based on the couple’s likes; music, special specific moments, etc. Postproduction is a creative process that we consider very important to get to deliver a high-quality wedding film like all the others in our portfolio… There are unique productions for each couple.
